Flights, entry requirements, access: bringing a group to Tunisia

What your travel department and your delegates will ask you, gathered on one page.

Direct flights

Tunis-Carthage is linked directly to Paris (CDG and Orly), London, Brussels, Geneva, Zurich, Frankfurt, Munich, Rome, Milan, Madrid, Barcelona, Vienna and most French regional cities, by Tunisair, Air France, British Airways, Lufthansa, ITA, Transavia and Nouvelair. Djerba-Zarzis, Monastir and Enfidha receive direct, often seasonal, flights from Paris, Lyon, Nantes, Marseille and Brussels. Tozeur is reached by a one-hour domestic flight from Tunis.

Passport and visa

EU, Swiss and UK citizens do not need a visa for stays under 90 days. A valid passport is sufficient; national ID cards are only accepted as part of an organised trip with a voucher, which we advise against for corporate groups. We check conditions for other nationalities.

Currency and payments

The Tunisian dinar can neither be exported nor exchanged abroad: you change on arrival (airport, hotels, banks) and change remaining dinars back before departure on presentation of the exchange receipt. Visa and Mastercard are accepted in hotels and major restaurants. Our quotes are in euros.

Time, phones, electricity

Tunisia is on GMT+1 all year: the same as Paris in winter, one hour behind in summer; one hour ahead of London in winter, the same in summer. Most European mobile plans do not cover Tunisia: we provide local SIM cards to organisers. European-type sockets, 230 V.

Health and insurance

No vaccination is required. Tap water is drinkable in major cities but we provide bottled water. We recommend group repatriation insurance; we can arrange it for you.

These checks belong in the DMC brief. Once flights are mapped, compare destinations and programme ideas against the time you actually have.

As you plan the event, also read Sousse or Monastir: a three-day corporate retreat and budget for 60 guests for another aspect of the decision.
