Tunisia or Morocco for an incentive? The honest comparison
Marrakech is the star of MICE in North Africa, and rightly so. But Tunisia has arguments buyers often discover too late. Let’s compare frankly.
Flights
Advantage Tunisia on duration: 2 h 30 to Tunis versus 3 h 15 to Marrakech from Paris, and a similar gap from London; a direct offer from a dozen French cities plus Brussels, Geneva, Frankfurt and Milan to Tunis, Djerba, Monastir and Enfidha. Advantage Morocco on volume: Marrakech is served by more low-cost airlines, which eases large groups at low prices.
Hotels
Marrakech has an incomparable stock of palaces and resorts, with larger plenary capacities. Tunisia has fewer prestige addresses but some very fine ones (Four Seasons Tunis, La Badira, The Mora Sahara Tozeur), efficient large resorts in Hammamet and Djerba, and a service level that has improved a great deal. Beyond 400 people in plenary, Marrakech remains simpler.

Desert and sea
Morocco has the Agafay thirty minutes from Marrakech, a very practical stone desert. Tunisia has real dunes (Douz, Ksar Ghilane) and Chott el Jerid, but an hour’s flight or three hours by road away. On the other hand, Tunisia has the Mediterranean twenty minutes from the airport: sea and conference on the same site, which Marrakech cannot offer.
Culture and atmosphere
Marrakech offers an intensity few cities match. Tunis is gentler, more European, less demanding on delegates; Sidi Bou Saïd and Carthage have a charm groups remember. A question of temperament: effervescence or serenity.

Choose Morocco for very large groups, palaces and desert within reach of the city. Choose Tunisia for budget, proximity, sea and the feeling of discovering a destination competitors have not yet done.
